We really enjoyed our stay at Rushing waters. Great space with plenty of room for your family inside and out. Owner was very accommodating, friendly and nice throughout our stay. Beautiful redone, and decorated carriage house.

Beautiful and tranquil surroundings with plenty of parking and no need to worry about noisy neighbors. Space was very clean and newly remodeled. I would definitely recommend this home to a large family or group. Plenty of space to move around in with plenty of areas for individual privacy.

The property was perfect for our group. We came to the area to be close to activities and have a central location for hanging out. Todd was a gracious host and extremely accommodating to all of our requests. I fully recommend staying here if you are ever looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting the East Aurora area. The place was very clean with all the amenities expected and more.

Todd, owner, was amazing to work with. He went above and beyond. The place is breathtaking. The place is even better than the pictures. Great location but awesome place that feels secluded. I'll be back if I'm in the area again.

Better than a 5 star hotel. Everything was amazing, from the location to the comfy beds to the fancy shampoo :) . Todd and Catherine were the best hosts one could hope for. The house was super clean and tidy and was recently remodeled. We loved that they have Netflix and Hulu subscriptions so we had a movie night every night. My family enjoyed their stay and wished they could've stayed longer. We made some great memories and will definitely be back.

It is a amazing experience stay at this house. The house is very clean, quite and convenient to Niagara Falls. The house owner is very kind and hospitality, he invite us to watch the firework at night before July 4th. Our family really enjoy that night and have a good time indeed. I will also recommend my friends to stay here when they plan to visit the falls.

Beautiful house and huge yard. We saw lots of fireflies in the evening and two deer's in the morning. Very cool.

A great get-away from NYC to visit Niagara Falls. After the noisy New York, after the noise of the Niagara Falls, we came to this place and found just some miracle. Very quiet, huge territory, everything is beautifully well-groomed. We really enjoyed staying. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this quiet carriage house is artfully designed and decorated. I will definitely bring my kids to see deer and fish in the pond next time. And it takes us only 3-5 min to reach downtown.

My family and I recently spent a truly memorable time at The Carriage House at Rushing Waters. The first thing that we noticed was how nicely the present owners have renovated and furnished the historical home. The house clearly reflects the past, but also is very comfortable and has great appliances and technology such as Alexis. The large kitchen contained everything we wanted and there is a good size dining room table to gather around for meals. The sitting area contained two big comfy couches plus extra seating. Everyone agreed that the beds were extremely comfortable, as well.
What I enjoyed most about the place was the setting. It sits on a huge rolling green lawn with ponds, surrounded by woods and a creek. The kids positively loved it there and spent hours playing outside. The yard was absolutely beautiful and I hated to leave such picturesque surroundings! I bet every season at Rushing Waters is gorgeous!
Finally, Todd and Katherine are wonderful hosts. I am so grateful that they were willing to accommodate us and do so much to make our stay a time that we will never forget. They are friendly, respectful of guests privacy, but available. I felt that they went way above and beyond to make our visit special.

Todd was an outstanding host and the carriage house was absolutely perfect. We attended a family wedding in East Aurora and brought the whole family for a mini family vacation. It was so awesome to have room to relax before and after the many festivities. Upon our arrival and throughout our stay we were able to watch deer grazing on the (Website hidden by Airbnb) serene and beautiful. There is a private deck which also was a treat as the weather could not have been more perfect. And on top of that Todd checked in with us periodically to make sure that everything was adequate. If you are thinking of making a visit to East Aurora/Niagara Falls this is your place!! Can't wait to have another family event to go back to this fabulous property! Thank you Todd for your outstanding hospitality!!

We booked the Carriage House for a week-long family visit in Buffalo. In tow were my wife's brother, my in-laws, and or 18-month old son. We could not have asked for a better setup! The location of the property had the distinct combination of feeling away from it all while at the same time being so very close to the heart of East Aurora (minutes away from Tim Horton's, Tops Market, Beerworks, and Bar Bill to name a few good ones). It was also very close to downtown Buffalo and the surrounding area (ex. about 45 minutes to Niagara Falls). We found we were able to get to the zoo, various eateries, and all the family functions with minimal fussiness from the little one. In the house, we found a comfortable and cozy living room complete with smart TV and Wii; a full kitchen ready and raring to go; three comfy mattresses on three comfy beds in three beautiful bedrooms; a rather large bathtub in the full bath and a rather bright and inviting environment in the 1/2 bath; and all the good stuff and character in-between that you'd expect from a place called "The Carriage House". Todd was a hospitable host. He was responsive on messages prior to our stay, he reached out the day of with some helpful tips, he introduced himself shortly after we arrived, he made sure that baby gates and a Pack and Play were available for our son (as well as outlet covers and cabinet locks),...Todd did everything he could to make sure our stay was great. And he succeeded! The Carriage House at Rushing Waters will be the only place we stay the next time we are in town. I'm almost reluctant to mention all this in the hopes that I can keep it a secret. But then what kind of guest would I be? Bring your family to The Carriage House!

Rushing Waters was built in 1883 by William Caryl Cornwell, a wealthy Buffalo banker. Intending it for a summer home, Cornwell chose a whimsical architectural design that was said to have been inspired by Germany's romantic Rhine Valley castles.
A picturesque barn was also built here on the high banks of the Cazenovia Creek. As was customary in those days, the barn not only housed horses and carriages, but the coachman and other male servants.
With the invention of the automobile, needs changed. The old barn was converted to a three-bay garage for cars. The stable's tack room, with its rustic stone fireplace, became a living room for the chauffeur's residence.
Times changed again. The old place has been given new life as the Carriage House. Come enjoy a restful getaway, surrounded by vintage charm and the unspoiled grounds of Rushing Waters.
